Your progression rate mainly depends on three factors:
The first one is your native language and its proximity to the English language. The US Foreign Service Institute has estimated that based on your native language the time it takes to learn a language such as English will vary.
The second factor is the level at which you start off: the higher your level already is, the longer it takes to advance to the next. For example, a beginner in English may move to an A2 level within 12 weeks, while progressing from a B2 to a C2 (essentially a native level) may take 24+ weeks of intensive, immersive study.
The third factor depends on your efforts and how you dedicate your time in terms of, consistently attending lessons, daily practice at home based on Ms. Lilah’s proven language mastery methods, joining the practice clubs, and fully participating in the weekly assigned tasks. We are here to assess your needs and create a learning program that will allow you to reach your goals.
You have the option of taking the assessment (feel free to request this). Our aim is for you to make progress, and we will always ensure that you are placed at the level that is most appropriate for you. Please do not hesitate to speak privately with your instructor if you feel you have not been placed at the correct level.
Yes, we do. If you have purchased the course and changed your mind before the course starts, You are entitled to a full refund (minus any charges we may incur through Stripe). If you have purchased a half-yearly or quarterly package and want to cancel a few months into the program, the time already spent in the program will be calculated at the monthly rate (as the discount applies to that particular package) and the remainder of your fee will be returned to you. When you register for an IEI lesson level, all additional activities are included. You are also welcome to participate in our debate club to practice your speaking skills; our writer’s club, which will help you with writing in English and our book club for help with reading and understanding English texts. All clubs are level-specific and meet once weekly at different times. You are also free to read any book we have available in our extensive library.
English Fluency Program: Our online ESL programs for adults cover specialised practice and task-based English classes. These classes focus on improving reading, writing, and grammar skills. These classes are carefully structured by industry experts to maximize learning and shorten the time needed for our students to become fluent. We invite you to learn more about our program structure.
Exam Preparation Program: Our exam prep course helps to prepare you for standardized ESL tests, namely the IELTS exam. Our course focus on the individual components of the test and work to prepare you for a successful outcome.

Through our support we aim to prepare you to sit for a range of exams according to your level.
In any case, whether or not you choose to sit an official language exam, you will always receive a course certificate at the end of your training period, which you can use to enhance your CV!
Absolutely! The I.E.I. committment is to make learning English accessible to as many people as possible. As such we have set up a resource room the you can access at any time. In the resource room you can find books to read, do self-directed reading and listening comprehension lessons, watch videos and stories and just hang out in a warm friendly environment where you can practice your English. Our English Fluency Course offers our learners the ability to increase their fluency in the English Language. The program is divided into three sections that serve the needs of three groups, The Guardians (our beginner English language Learners – A2+), The Influencers (our B1+ English language Learners) and The Legends (our advanced English language Learners – C1+). We cover a range of topics throughout your time, from the basics of greeting someone and making introductions (for our Guardian class) to more advanced and complex topics for The Influencers and Legends among us.
In our targeted program, we undertake a complete assessment of your language levels to assess the specific level at which you currently are. We next work with you, through a comprehensive personality assessment, to understand your learning style as well as the precise characteristics under which learning is optimal for you. After this process, we then coach you on the specific techniques you need to employ when studying in order to maximize your outcomes.
Once your language levels have been understood and you are armed with your established personalized study system; we will next start you on IEI’s secret weapon, our intensive 12-week language learning mastery course, in which you meet with your instructor once weekly and go through the necessary steps to learning a language quickly and easily. This program involves targeted learning of the fundamental aspects involved in memory retention with a focus on English language learning. It is thus a system that will encourage mastery in the shortest amount of time.
For the remaining classes in your week, we target areas of weakness specific to you and work with you in listening, reading speaking, and writing to bring you up to improve your level using a combination of the Presentation, Practice and Production (PPP) and Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) methods. Both being proven ESL training techniques that maximize student learning by applying their knowledge.
When you register for the program, you will have three (3) fifty-minute classes per week. If you sign up for individual classes, you will work one-on-one with your tutor to achieve individualized success. If you are registered for the group classes, you will work with no more than five (5) additional classmates (meaning there are a maximum of 6 students per class) to achieve your goals together. You will also have access to our ESL library, where you will find many eBooks and audiobooks suited to your learning level. You will be encouraged to read level-specific books on your own, and you will also be able to join any or all three of our level-specific extracurricular clubs, namely the Book Club, Writers’ Club and Debate Club, where each week, you will have the support of your tutor in applying your English skills in a practical way. Each club meets once per week for 50 minutes.
Through I.E.I., you will have a multiplicity of opportunities to practice your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. If you apply yourself, you will have the opportunity to finish this course with the ability to accomplish your dreams!
